Chargers Women’s Golf Opens Spring With Win Over Lincoln

The Carl Sandburg College women’s golf team opened its spring season with a dual-meet victory over Lincoln on Friday at Lake Bracken Country Club.
The Chargers’ four golfers recorded the four best scores of the day, defeating the Lynx 400-505. Kelli Kennedy (Henry, Ill./Henry-Senachwine) was medalist with a 95, and Averi Heintzelman (Sterling, Ill./Sterling) added a 99. Elizabeth Whitford (Dahinda, Ill./Galva) came in with a 102 for Sandburg, while Rylee Liles (Hennepin, Ill./Putnam County) carded a 104.
